The King’s Trust Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Hungerford and Sharon Rudy to its Board of Directors, further strengthening the organization’s leadership as it works to support young people (aged 15 – 24) from primarily underserved communities to access, engage, and succeed in meaningful economic opportunities.
Andrew Hungerford brings more than 25 years of experience in real estate investment, management, and development. He leads Hungerford Properties, a family-owned real estate business with more than $1.45 billion in assets under management and development. He is also a co-founder of Seven Generations Capital, which focuses on advancing Indigenous economic development and well-being. Throughout his career, Hungerford has overseen more than $8 billion in real estate investments, management, and development across North America and Europe.
Sharon Rudy is a trusted executive advisor with nearly 30 years of experience working with boards, CEOs, and senior leaders across Canada. As Head of the Board and CEO Services Practice for Korn Ferry in Canada, she has developed deep expertise in board and CEO succession, executive leadership development, assessment, and recruitment. Her work spans both the private and public sectors, where she has advised many of Canada’s leading organizations on leadership and governance matters.

In addition to their professional achievements, both Hungerford and Rudy have demonstrated strong commitments to community service and board leadership. Hungerford currently serves on the Advisory Board of Queen’s University Smith School of Business and held a leadership role with The Salvation Army Vancouver Harbour Light. Rudy has volunteered for True Patriot Love Foundation and participated in Covenant House Toronto Executive Sleepout for the past six years.
Andrew Hungerford and Sharon Rudy join the distinguished board of The King’s Trust Canada alongside Laurel C. Broten, Tania Carnegie, The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Adriana Embiricos, Ameerally Kassim-Lakha, Raj Kothari, Chethan Lakshman, Cynthia (Cindy) Thorburn, and Janine Windolph, chaired by Mike Henry and Chair Emerita The Honourable Hilary M.
